Where did you grow up and what was your childhood like? Did you have any particular experiences/stories that shaped your adult life?

I grew up in Northern NJ and I remember that my mom signed me up for a math correspondence school. It was very hard and even my mom had a hard time with it, but I remember the struggle and my mom never let me give up. The struggle is part of the journey without it, the destination wouldn’t be as fulfilling.
